How to Install a Autopage Car Alarm

Bookmark and Share

An Autopage car alarm is available in two models for 2009. The RF-30 three channel alarm and the new RF-225 2-channel security system with a shock sensor included. They also have older models, like the RS 650 Autopage car alarm, which is the car alarm we will use during our test installation. Installing a car alarm requires you have basic understanding of electrical principles and be able to read a wiring diagram. You also need the installation manual, so if one didn't come with the alarm you want to install, you'll have to find one.

Things to Keep in Mind

The Autopage RS 650 car alarm is designed to be installed in fuel-injected cars implementing an automatic transmission. Do not install this car alarm in a car with a manual transmission or mechanical parking switch. If the vehicle you're installing this alarm in has an immobilizer, this car alarm may refuse to work. Disconnect the battery before you make any connections in the vehicle and connect the wire harness to the control module after you have finished all the necessary wiring.
